The CQ Fibreglass Direct Dust Collector has been designed for underground mining shotcrete purposes. It is a water filled, baffled containment vessel. It is FRAS rated and is very easy to move and position in place when empty.
When shotcreting work is to be carried out, the area to be worked on is sealed off to prevent mass leakage of the dust-contaminated air. A fan is then hooked up in line and temporary ducting is run to the source of the shotcreting work and into the dust collector. Large volumes of the dust particles are directed back towards the dust collector. The inner tube directs the dirty air into the main body of the water where the dust particles are caught in the water.
The air flow then passes through the water towards the exhaust chambers of the vessel. Baffles inside the vessel perform 2 key roles in slowing the air and also causing it to change direction multiple times. This ensures that excess water is not pushed out when the clean air is discharged. Airflow can also be regulated using the built in flow regulator valve. It is simple and easy to wash out using a hose and 2” drain valve provided.
